Speed, SEO and tracking

Speed, SEO and tracking for Shopify, WooCommerce and WordPress stores.

I fix slow pages, technical SEO problems and tracking that cannot be trusted. That means Core Web Vitals and PageSpeed fixes, technical SEO such as H1s, schema, robots.txt and Search Console issues, and GA4 and Tag Manager setups that match what customers actually do.

What I do

The kinds of work I do on this, with examples from real projects.

  1. Speed and Core Web Vitals

I measure LCP, INP and CLS on real visits and in lab tests, then fix what holds them back: render-blocking scripts, image and theme bloat, and heavy apps and plugins.

  2. Technical SEO fixes

H1 corrections, schema, robots.txt, Google Search Console issues and Yoast SEO configuration. On Freedom Gorilla I validated robots.txt, metadata and product schema.

  3. GA4 and Tag Manager

E-commerce event tracking set up and checked against what happens in the store, with cookie consent through Complianz.

  4. Before and after numbers

Every project ends with a new measurement and a written summary of what changed, so you can see what each fix did.

Cosmo Together homepage: a child wearing a JrTrack smartwatch with the headline about the best smart watch for kids

Shopify Plus Sep 2025 to Jun 2026

Cosmo Together

I took over storefront engineering for a Shopify Plus store that sells the JrTrack smartwatch for kids, and led the three developers working on it.

  • Owned the Shopify Plus theme: custom sections and Online Store 2.0 templates for product, collection and landing pages.
  • Built the JrTrack 5 product and activation pages, plus collections and add-ons.
  • Set up Recharge subscriptions and checkout validation.
  • Worked on the headless activation flow and its API integrations.

WordPress Sep 2024 to present

Dewitt Law Firm

I run web engineering for the firm's WordPress and Shopify sites: fixes, new pages, tracking, SEO and the daily work of keeping them stable.

  • WordPress development, theme and plugin work, landing and service pages.
  • Technical SEO: H1 corrections, Search Console issues, robots.txt and call-to-action improvements.
  • Analytics and tracking setup, speed and Core Web Vitals work.
  • Hosting support, migrations and production issue resolution.

Is this a fit?

An honest check before you write to me. If it is not a fit, I will say so and, where I can, point you to what is.

A good fit

  • A store whose pages are slow on phones, or whose Core Web Vitals report shows failing URLs
  • A site with Search Console errors, missing schema or technical problems left by an old build
  • A store that does not trust its GA4 numbers
  • A team that wants a written, prioritized list before it spends on fixes

Probably not a fit

  • A brand-new site with no traffic yet. Basic setup may be all you need.
  • Link building, content writing or paid ads. This service is the technical side.

What I do not promise

I do not promise a PageSpeed score, a ranking or a traffic number. Scores change from run to run, and rankings depend on more than a site's code. At Creative Dreams Agency, my optimization work improved page load times by 30%. That is what happened there, not a number I can promise for your site.

How a project starts

Most work begins the same way: something is slow, something broke after an update, or the checkout is losing people. I find the cause, fix it, and show you the before and after.

  1. Review

I look at the store, its theme and apps, and find what is causing the problem.

  2. Plan

You get a written list of what is wrong, in priority order, with an estimate for each item.

  3. Build

Changes are made on a staging copy, reviewed, and then released.

  4. Check and hand over

I measure again, send before and after numbers, and document what changed.

Who it suits

  • Shopify and Shopify Plus brands with a live store and real orders
  • WooCommerce and WordPress sites that have outgrown their build
  • Agencies that need a senior engineer behind their designs

The usual first step is a fixed-scope technical review plus the top-priority fixes, delivered in one to two weeks. Larger builds and ongoing work follow from there.

Common questions

The things people ask before they write. If yours is not here, ask it in the form.

Will you get my PageSpeed score to 100?

I cannot promise a score. Lab scores change from run to run, and Google uses real-visit Core Web Vitals, not the lab score. I measure both, fix what holds the store back, and send before and after numbers.

How long until Google shows an improvement?

Lab tests change straight away. Google's field data covers a rolling 28-day window, so expect about four weeks before the Core Web Vitals report in Search Console fully reflects a fix.

Do you write content or build links?

No. This service covers the technical side: speed, technical SEO fixes and tracking.

Do you set up cookie consent?

Yes, I have set up cookie consent with Complianz. Consent rules differ by region, so check what applies to you with your counsel.
